The Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation doctoral programme aims to train professionals who contribute to public health with a protective, preventive and rehabilitative approach, equipped with professional knowledge and skills, following developments in different areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in line with scientific developments. The programme trains PhD graduates who understand the importance of continuous research in the field of health, possess analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, can integrate and interpret their knowledge and skills at a level that can be published in international journals, and can work in academic positions at universities worldwide.
Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation
- Master's degree in physiotherapy rehabilitation and/or one of the related fields
- At least 55 ALES score (for Turkish national students)
- Proof of English language proficiency

- TOEFL computer-based test at least 213
- TOEFL internet-based test at least 80
- At least 6.5 from IELTS exam
- YDS/UDS/KPDS score of at least 65
- EMU Proficiency Exam Stage II score of at least 75

Research Interests
In the physiotherapy and rehabilitation doctoral programme, it is possible to conduct scientific research in all areas of physiotherapy and rehabilitation in the presence of the laboratories, prosthetic orthotics centre and the equipment infrastructure within the Healthy Living Centre, which is operated by all faculty departments with a multidisciplinary approach. The main research areas can be listed as follows; Neurological rehabilitation, paediatric rehabilitation, orthopaedic rehabilitation, athlete health and evaluation, sportive rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, pulmonary rehabilitation, rheumatic diseases and rehabilitation.
